Subject	Extreme Ni[X]it blocks and 6 ton jack stands = over kill?

Message	I originally bought 2x10's to construct my blocks with but ended up going back to Home Depot for some 2x12's thanks to these guys. I am very glad I did. As you can see even with stock wheels and tires the 2x12's are not much wider. My tire pressure is a bit low on the rear though. Front's Rear's I feel so much more comfortable under the car now. I highly recommend nothing narrower then 2x12's. The blocks can easily support the full weight of the car. I however wanted them as a safety or second fail safe. I lowered the car until the tires just barely start to rest on the blocks, then I slid the stands into place and lowered the car again until the weight of the car is held by the jack stands.
